As our efforts move on from being just an individual farm to an organic farmers collective, telling stories about food + agriculture and selling organic produce direct from farmer to consumer, we thought it would best to change our identity from Noushadya & Sudhakar to Vivasayee’s Life as an entity.
That’s how the discussion about the logo started with Kaavya Sampath of House of Mirrah fame. Thank you Kaavya for the beautiful logo! 🙂
The imagery alongside V in the logo signifies that we are one as a community : farmers and citizens. Sustainable agriculture, lifestyles and livelihoods cannot happen without complete cooperation between everyone in society. The background of the logo’s banner are palmyra leaves as they are ubiquitous to our farm and Tamil Nadu especially.
Instead of WordPress eCommerce or Shopify, we chose Digital Showroom by DotPe as our online store to support Indian start ups. #supportsmallbusinesses Here is the link to our Online store.

All the products available are by our farmer friends who are also in the same geographical reason as us : Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. In the interest of implementing local production + local consumption, we have chosen to keep our efforts focused on only our Taluk. There can be synergies and economies of ‘small-scale’ built amongst hyperlocally by sharing common resources.
However, consumption in rural India is not as strong as it was a few decades back because of urban-rural migration, which accelerated after 1991. That’s why we chose to launch this online store. We choose to sell within India. We ship either via India Post or DTDC.
The products that are currently available at the farm are in the gallery below. Fresh Fruits (and Ghee in the future) can only be ordered in the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Dried fruits such as Malabar Tamarind, dried spices, jaggery, honey, oils, grains, pulses can be ordered anywhere in India.
We don’t plan to rely on a social media marketing budget because we would like to keep costs and our social & environmental impact low. If you like what we do, please help us to spread the word about our initiative by sharing these posters with your friends, family and colleagues.

Noushadya and I are away from the farm on a couple of months break – so, we don’t have produce from our website live on the website for now. Our farmer friends from Ambasamudram Taluk have listed their products on the online store. They will ship the produce directly to you.
Write to us in the comments below and tell us what you feel about the logo and the online store. Let us know if you want to help us share these posters around – we will email them to you.
Regards
