About your host
I’m Sudhakar, an Electrical Engineer from NIT Rourkela and an MBA (Operations & Finance) from ISB who spent my early career in the corporate world—first in manufacturing at ITC (Tobacco Division) and later in data operations at Housing.com.
In 2016, I quit corporate life in search of meaning, purpose, and a deeper connection with nature.
That journey led me to buy land in 2018, begin restoring it through regenerative practices, and eventually build a mud house as my family’s home on the farm in 2020.
Vaanavil Farm & Food Forest has grown from an exploited parcel of land and into a vibrant ecosystem — rich with soil life, fruit trees, diverse crops, and a thriving food forest. The farm is managed with organic, regenerative, and ethical principles, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and long-term sustainability.
To share this journey with others, I started a blog in 2019, an online organic store in 2022, followed by a farm stay in 2024, and now host regular farm tours and full-day workshops to help families, students, and corporate teams reconnect with the land that feeds us.
Vaanavil is more than a farm—it’s a living experiment in sustainability, community, and conscious living.
