Moringa Paruppu Podi: Quick Meal Solution

@noushadya‘s trick up her sleeve for lazy days when we do not feel like cooking are Paruppu Podis for a quick meal. A serving of rice, a dollop of ghee and a tablespoon of Moringa Paruppu Podi – a simple vegetable stir fry or a salad added to this plate makes the meal complete and filling.

Muringa Keerai in one of our favourite greens at the farm because it is perennial, low maintenance and provides abundance through out the year. Drumsticks are seasonal of course, the leaves are available year around.

We discontinued podis like coconut paruppu podi, sesame podi that we had started out with, because the fat content in oilseeds were making the powders rancid quickly. Of the 3 podis on the store right now, Moringa Paruppu Podi is the only Ready-To-Mix podi. It has a good shelf life which makes it an ideal additional to your pantry.

The other podis listed in the store are Tamarind Rice Mix and Pepper Kuzhambu Podi which need tempering in oil after making a thick paste out it.
