Hello everyone

As some of you may know, we have been hosting a farm tour every Saturday. We started this in August last year with the objective of demonstrating that it is possible to regenerate a land with smart agro-ecological practices in a short span of 4-5 years. We have been getting a constant stream of visitors because we have indulged in a diverse set of experiments in the sustainability space : annual crops, perennial crops, natural building, renewable energy etc.

There are several among us, dreaming about leading a sustainable lifestyle. But there are a lot of burning questions in the mind about the viability, efforts needed and the economics of making a switch. The children and youth of the country need to know that there is a bright and green future possible if we live in harmony with nature rather than against it. They need to know that agriculture is a logical lifestyle choice. More farmers need to make a transition to gentler ways of managing land. The farm tour targets all of these people and those who are curious to know what this is all about.

Please help us spread the word about this in your network especially to those who are looking to lead the kind of life we are leading. And also to your family, friends, colleagues those living in the geographic region as us i.e. South Tamil Nadu – Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar etc.

We realize that the weekly 2-hour-long conversation limits the exposure we can provide to society. The long term plan is to build a guest house and host you all at the farm. Eco-tourism will have to take a step back till Vanya, our daughter is at least a year old. Until then the weekly visits will have to suffice. 🙂
